Some facts&rules

Q: What if I break the bike during the rental?

A: In such case you have to find yourself a way to fix it in order to be able to continue biking. This happens at your own cost.
If there's remarkable damage when you return the bikes,you pay a reasonable cost of repair.
We have not any kind of "rescue service" that could come to help you on the road.
In 30 years we had only a couple of cases, where people had flat tires on the road and insisted on us to come to fix the problem
(so generally people seem to use common sense in situations like that).

To ensure to get rented bikes back, a DEPOSIT OF 100 EUROS IN CASH (minimum)/each bike will be demanded when picking up the bikes.

Some statistics related to the deposit: in nearly 100% of the cases,when we didn't take any deposit,something went wrong (like damaged bikes,bikes left
in wrong places,missing equipment etc) . In many cases we lost more money than the total value of the rental was...
That's why nowadays the cash deposit will always be demanded.

Rental terms:

The rental client pays the rent IN CASH when receiving the bicycle. The client agrees to leave CASH EUROS as deposit.

The client agrees to take good care of the bike,as if it was his/her own.

The client is responsible for the bicycle and the accessories to their daily value until the bicycle is returned.

The client is liable for damages.

The client is expected to obey the valid Finnish traffic regulations.

Ecobike takes no economical or other responsibility for any inconvenience or damage caused by the client during the rental period of the bicycle.

The bicycle is to be returned to the agreed place at the end of the rental period. Any damages to the bicycle(s) ,that have happened during the rental period,need to be paid when the bicycle is returned.

Ecobike will not come to repair any damages,that may have happened on the road; those are solely to be repaired by the client at her/his own cost.
